Former One Direction bandmates Liam Payne and Niall Horan just teamed up for one of the most epic Instagram Lives ever, and they couldn’t help but poke fun at Louis Tomlinson during it!
Yep, when the “Strip That Down” crooner asked the “Slow Hands” singer if he had spoken to Louis recently, Niall explained, “No. I spoke to him a couple of days ago in that Whatsapp group chat.”
But when Liam said he wanted to do a three-way FaceTime with Niall and Louis, the 26-year-old joked that Louis was hard to get in contact with, despite the fact that he was stuck at home because of the coronavirus pandemic.
“It’s so funny, we can never get anyone together, even though we’re all doing nothing,” Niall said. “I know for a fact that Louis is just sitting at home smoking cigarettes and drinking beers. I was doing the same yesterday.”
LOL. For those who missed it, the virtual reunion comes just days after Liam confirmed that the group was planning something special for their upcoming 10th reunion!
“We’ve got a ten-year anniversary coming up so we’ve all been speaking together a lot over the last few weeks which has been really nice,” he told The Sun. “At the moment I’m not sure what I’m allowed to say. There’s a number of different things that we are all working on to try and make happen and people are forwarding emails around. But more than anything it’s just been a real good time for us to connect together again.”
For those who forgot, the band (which also consisted of Harry Styles and Zayn Malik) was put together by Simon Cowell on July 23, 2010, after they all auditioned on The X Factor as solo artists.
The 26-year-old pop star spoke out about it once again while appearing on The Late, Late Show With James Corden.
“I”m not allowed to say too much obviously because I would be giving it away,” he said. “We’ve been speaking a lot more at the moment, I think we are all feeling that that ten year… It’s a very special moment.”
He also explained during another Instagram Live, “Most of us are in London. We’ve been trying to arrange the first group FaceTime at the moment. I can’t say too much it was actually Louis told me off for revealing a bit about our plans the other day. So I had a group telling off on the group chat.”
Man, the things we would give to be a part of the 1D group chat! The musician seemingly revealed that Zayn would not be a part of the reunion when he asked singer Alesso to take his place. “You can come and fill in for Zayn. Join the band,” he said.
