It’s official, Rydel Lynch and Capron Funk have tied the knot! Yep, on Wednesday, August 26, the couple took to Instagram and announced that they had eloped during a secret ceremony in California. But that’s not all! Get this — Capron and Rydel actually documented the entire thing on their joint YouTube channel. That’s right, fans got the chance to watch the entire ceremony go down from the moment the former R5 member walked down the aisle to when they said their “I Dos.”
“The first text message @capron ever sent me was, ‘Let’s elope.’ SO WE DID IT!” the blonde beauty wrote on Instagram alongside a series of photos from the special day. Capron added in his own caption, “We eloped. Made my heart melt!”
During their seven-minute video, the couple explained that they’re “legally eloping” — with both of their moms present, of course — because due to the coronavirus pandemic, they were unable to get a marriage license until the end of October.
“I didn’t want to wait that long! So, I though it would just be fun to elope,” Rydel gushed.
It turns out, this isn’t the first time the couple said their vows. Back in April, Rydel and Capron actually had a mock wedding with a few select family members at a tiny chapel in the “middle of nowhere.”
“It’ll be our third time getting married on the wedding, wedding,” Capron added.
Despite their multiple mini-ceremonies, the stars still plan to have a “big, big, big wedding” in the near future. As fans know, Capron and Rydel have been together since June 2019. The YouTube star asked the blonde beauty to be his girlfriend during a The Driver Era concert in Los Angeles. Then, in February 2020, Capron got down on one knee and asked Rydel to marry him while both of their families were playing softball together. It seriously doesn’t get cuter than these two!
