During a recent interview with the “Chicks In The Office” podcast, Sabrina Carpenter looked back at her time on the Girl Meets World set and revealed that she loved Boy Meets World before being cast in its spinoff series!

Boy Meets World was my go-to, 8:00 A.M. before school,” she explained. “It was my go-to in the morning…It was a show that I always remembered just loving.”

She continued, “I’ve gotten to very lucky that some stories that have felt like I’ve been personally attached to them before they were created are things that I eventually ended up getting to be a part of, which you always pinch yourself in those moments.”

The 21-year-old opened up about her childhood, working on the fan-favorite Disney Channel show.

“That was my childhood in every way, shape and form. I grew up on that set, I grew up around those people and luckily they were very kindhearted, intelligent people that definitely gave me the ability to experiment. And I definitely credit a lot of what I do now and where I am because of that show and that character I got to play. So, yeah, a very, very special project.”

For those who missed it, the epic spinoff show first premiered back in 2014 and went on for three epic seasons before concluding in 2017. Aside from Sabrina, series also starred Rowan Blanchard, Danielle Fishel, Peyton Meyer, August Maturo, Corey Fogelmanis, Ben Savage and more. It followed the life of Riley Matthews — whose dad was the star of Boy Meets World back in the day — and her friends Maya, Lucas and Farkle. Being able to watch the whole BFF squad go through their teen years together was nothing short of magical and fans were seriously heartbroken when the show came to an end. Although Girl Meets World may not be releasing any new episodes, all three seasons are available to stream on Disney+!
