Guys, the moment we’ve all been waiting for is finally here. Prepare yourselves because Shawn Mendes and Niall Horan just confirmed the collab that we’ve all been practically dying for, and the internet is losing it. Since the “Mercy” singer and the One Direction member are two of our favorite artists ever, we’ve all been hoping that they’d get together in the studio for a long time, and now, it seems like it’s finally happening.
It all started when a fan asked the 25-year-old if him and Shawn are ever going to make a song together during a recent Twitter Q&A. “We’re going to try,” Niall replied.
But it was Shawn’s response that really got us. “We ARE going to!” he added. SCREAMING.

And that’s not all because the 20-year-old also told ET Canada last month that it’s “100 percent going to happen.”
“Niall and I talk about this pretty much every time we see each other,” he told the outlet.
As J-14 readers know, two singers first met at the American Music Awards a few years ago and have been total friendship goals ever since. Being the two most swoon-worthy guys in Hollywood, every time we get new pics of them together, we’re not going to lie, we low-key freak out. Honestly we don’t know how we’re going to survive if (we mean when) they do release an entire song together.
Niall’s been busy in the studio working on his second studio album the last few weeks, so now is definitely the perfect time for them to get together for the song. And get this — this actually isn’t the only collaboration that will be on the much-anticipated LP. It’s also been rumored that the 1D cutie is collaborating with Khalid since the two had a very suspicious Twitter exchange at the beginning of the month.
Ugh, we seriously cannot wait.
