If you’ve been following along with all the drama, you probably already know that YouTube star Tana Mongeau has officially called it quits with Brad Sousa after rampant cheating rumors hit the web. On April 28, the YouTube star took to the video platform with a nearly 20-minute-long video, confirming that the Justin Bieber lookalike was unfaithful and that they had broken up. But now, Brad’s telling his side of the story, and he took to YouTube not only to apologize to Tana, but to the fans as well.
“What happened in her video is true,” he revealed. “There was a little bit of over-exaggeration to some of it, but what she was going through and what I have done, I mean, I don’t blame her for speaking her mind and her truth and her heart.”
So when did this mess first start to unravel? While it’s unclear when their problems first began, both seem to agree that Coachella really changed everything. For them, both weekends of the festival were really, really rough. And of course, it didn’t help that some rumors claimed he cheated during the festival, which he vehemently denied.
“Coachella weekend was very bad. Both weekends,” the social media star admitted. “People have it twisted saying I cheated on her during the weekends. That’s not true. Did not happen. I never physically touched another girl during our relationship ever.” Wait, what?
You heard that correctly, folks! Apparently, Brad’s never physically cheated on the 20-year-old. However, he did admit to cheating on her in other ways — ways that are “still classified as cheating even if you don’t do something physical.”
“I did Snapchat a few girls from back home and they did send me nudes and I replied,” he said. “I was drunk, stupid, didn’t realize what was going on. Regardless, I’m an idiot and every single day I wish I could just take back what I did because I really regret answering these stupid, pointless people that gave me absolutely zero percent of what Tana did.”
So where are the former flames at in their relationship right now? Well, they may not be together anymore, but according to him, they’re still keeping in touch and talking through what happened.
“Me and her still talk,” Brad shared. “It’s not like that, and I would never — I mean, unless she wanted to hate me and not talk to me — I would totally get that and I would wish her all the best, but I’m very happy and glad that we can still keep in touch here and there.” How interesting!
And don’t worry, Tana fans! Brad definitely knows what he lost, and he even admitted that he’s unsure if he’ll ever find someone else like her again in his whole lifetime.
“Moral of this whole story is don’t take people for granted ’cause Tana was literally my whole entire world and I feel like she still is and she always will be in my heart forever,” he said. ” … I probably will never in my entire life meet someone like her ever again. She’s one of a kind, that’s for sure.”
But wait, there’s more. In addition to apologizing, Brad said he’s hoping they’ll be able to work things out, which is something the future MTV reality star spoke about in her own video. For Tana, she’s aware that she has a lot of young girls watching her channel, and although she feels like she wants to go back to Brad at times, she knows that would be setting a bad example for young girls who’ve been mistreated in relationships.
“I just want you guys to know that I’m truly sorry and I love you Tana, forever,” Brad confessed. “And I hope that maybe one day we can fix things just like you said, you know? I mean, only time can really tell.”
Well, he’s right about that! We guess we’ll just have to stand by to see how these two will move forward — whether it’s together or apart.
