Congratulations, Joel Courtney! The Kissing Booth star just announced that he and his girlfriend, Mia Scholink, are engaged, and fans couldn’t be more excited for them.
“I like it, so I just had to go and put a ring on it,” the 24-year-old actor wrote on Instagram, alongside a snap that showed him on one knee holding out a ring, as Mia covered her mouth with her hands.
The bride-to-be also posted some sweet snaps from the proposal, which she captioned, “ENGAGED to my best friend! Can’t wait to marry you @joel_courtney.”
So who is the lucky lady? Well, according to her Instagram, Mia works at Beautycounter — a makeup company that sells all-natural products. It’s unclear when exactly they started dating, but the first photos that they shared together on social media were posted in November 2019, right after Thanksgiving.
“Thankful for you,” Mia wrote.
“Taking thankfulness to an entirely new level,” Joel captioned a photo of his own.
Back in February 2020, the brunette beauty shared an adorable tribute for Joel’s birthday.
“Spent the day celebrating yesterday so didn’t get a chance to post. HAPPY BIRTHDAY babe! I am so thankful for you and so blessed to have you in my life,” she gushed on Instagram. “You are one in a million, my love. I look forward to cheering you on and celebrating you always because one day just isn’t enough.”
“I know you’re sitting right next to me but I’ll say it on here. I had such an amazing time! Thank you for all that you do. There’s no one else I’d rather spend my days with! Love you baby cakes!” Joel responded in a comment.
They also made their red carpet debut in February 2020, when they attended the To All The Boys 2: P.S. I Still Love You premiere side by side. Ugh, these two could not be cuter together, and fans cannot wait to see them walk down the aisle.
