Don’t mess with Vanessa Morgan or her friends! The Riverdale star just clapped back at a fan who had called her costar Ashleigh Murray “a diva,” and fans are living for her response.

Following the tragic death of George Floyd, the actress took to Twitter to speak out about racism in Hollywood.

“I’m not being [quiet] anymore,” she captioned a post that read, “Tired of how black people are portrayed in media. Tired of us being portrayed as thugs, dangerous or angry, scary people. Tired of us also being used as side kick non-dimensional characters to our white leads. Or only in the ads for diversity but not actually in the show. It starts with the media. I’m not being [quiet] anymore.”

But when a fan responded and accused Ashleigh of being kicked off the show because she was a diva, Vanessa was definitely not amused. As fans know, the 32-year-old said goodbye to the CW show back in 2019, so that she could continue to star Josie McCoy in the spinoff series, Katy Keene.

“The Pussycats were written off because @iamamurray is a known diva and didn’t wait to share the screen with other talented women. Even on Katy Keene she barely shares scenes with other women because she’s a diva,” the fan wrote in a now-deleted tweet.

“You don’t know what the f**k you’re talking about and don’t talk about my friend like that. Another thing I hate — BLACK women being called DIVAS for sticking up for themselves. Maybe the show should write for her like the white characters. You picked the wrong day get off my page,” Vanessa fired back.

Ashleigh also got involved, adding in a tweet of her own, “Lol you clearly have me mixed up with someone else. I love the Pussycats more than any show ever did. If it were up to me, we’d have our own show. And you obviously don’t watch Katy Keene because sis is surrounded by women. So f**k all the way off.”
