The Queen of Christmas rom-coms is back with a brand-new flick! The trailer for Vanessa Hudgens‘ new Netflix Christmas movie, titled The Knight Before Christmas, is finally here.
Back in March, it was announced that The Princess Switch star would be producing and starring in this new romantic comedy alongside British actor Josh Whitehouse, who is a major cutie. After watching the trailer, there’s no doubt that once this romantic movie becomes available for streaming on November 21, it will become a holiday classic in no time.
The movie follows a gallant English knight, named Sir Cole, who seeks out his true quest after a sorceress inadvertently sends him from the medieval era to present day. While there he soon finds himself falling for a caring high school science teacher, named Brooke, who is disillusioned by love. Despite being skeptical of Cole’s time travel claims, Brooke finds herself with feelings for the knight as she helps him return home.
Knights? Sorcerers? Medieval era? This movie sounds intense! It might be too soon to tell if Vanessa and Josh’s characters fall madly in love and end up together or if they’re torn apart because of the sorceress’ magic but one thing is for sure, love is in the air.
As fans know, the 30-year-old was just announced to star in Netflix’s upcoming film adaptation of the Broadway musical tick, tick… BOOM! where she will act alongside Andrew Garfield. It turns out, Vanessa actually predicted this role back in November 2018.
“Musicals are like my home. Any time that I get to be on set and sing and act and dance, I am by far my happiest self. So I am always for a musical, never against it,” she said to Glamour. “I grew up doing musical theater and kind of found my own two feet through being on the stage. So if there’s like a new, original musical that is happening, I would definitely be the first to jump on board.”
