When it came to talking about his romance with Miley Cyrus, it seems like Cody Simpson did not hold back! For those who don’t know, the Australian singer recently released his debut poetry book, Prince Neptune, which included some super graphic lines about an intimate relationship. Although he didn’t call his girlfriend out by name, fans are convinced that some of the more detailed poems were inspired by his personal life with the Hannah Montana star.

Yep, that’s right, the “All Day” crooner got super candid and seemingly chronicled a relationship filled with a lot of intimate moments. With a lines that read, “Your eyes glisten like sapphires” and “Blonde hair. Brilliance,” some people on social media made a major argument that he was, most definitely, talking about the Disney Channel alum. As fans know, the pair recently shared their six month anniversary together at the end of March. For those who forgot, the two stars were first spotted kissing on October 3, 2019. An eyewitness told Us Weekly that they saw Miley and Cody having an intimate lunch date at Backyard Bowls in Los Angeles — and they couldn’t keep their hands (or their lips!) off each other.

“Six months with you is worth a lifetime with anybody else,” Cody wrote on his Instagram Stories at the time. “I love you.”

While some were convinced that Miley inspired his heartfelt poetry, other fans have speculated that he was writing about his ex-girlfriend Clair Wuestenberg.

“CODY ROBERT SIMPSON EXPLAIN YOURSELF! That poem was not for Miley but for Clair. You can’t change the muse to a piece of work simply because she dumped your a**!” one fan posted on Twitter after Cody dedicated a poem to Miley during her “Bright Minded” Instagram live show.

As fans know, Cody and Clair started dating in August 2018, announced that they decided to go their separate ways in January 2019. According to Clair, their relationship did not end well. She took to Instagram to seemingly accused Cody of being emotionally abusive to her.

“My boyfriend broke up with me, and in a really, really sh***y way. I’d like to tell everybody about it, but I’m sure it would be not so good for his career, so I’ll keep it quiet,” she wrote at the time. “What I do want to talk about is emotional abuse and how when you are abused emotionally, and you’re torn from one way to the other, and you feel that you need to express yourself in some way, do what you need to do.”
