Uh oh! Fans think Jake Paul made fun of Erika Costell‘s body on Twitter, and now he’s paying the price.

That’s right, you guys! After the 26-year-old model shared a midriff-baring photo on her Instagram Stories, the 22-year-old vlogger decided to over-edit a photo of himself with a cinched waist and share it on the social media platform. He captioned it, “how’d I do.”

Immediately, fans and critics of the YouTube star assumed he was making a reference to a photo posted by his ex, so they took to Twitter to call him out for body-shaming. Among those who called him out was fellow YouTuber Keemstar, who was slammed by Jake a week prior for the exact same thing.

“1 week ago @jakepaul asked the internet to DRAG me as a BODY SHAMER cus I made a joke about @erikacostell ! Today he make a joke about Erika’s body. HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM,” Keemstar wrote.

To give you some background, Keemstar skinny shamed Erika by comparing her body to that of another YouTuber.

Once Jake saw it, he came to her defense writing, “Still body shaming in 2019? Keem you’re a piece of trash. This girl is drop dead gorgeous regardless if we’re together or not.. you deserve to be dragged for this.. dear internet, why tf do you allow this, but them turn into ruthless animals when I put a blindfold on?”

So, why the change of heart, Jake? Whatever the case may be, it’s safe to say that fans of the “It’s Everyday Bro” singer are NOT happy.

In response to Jake’s highly edited photo, one person tweeted, “Biggest hypocrite going lol.”

Another fan echoed those same sentiments, tweeting, “Disappointed but not surprised.”

Other fans, however, weren’t totally convinced that Jake was body-shaming Erika at all, and many accused Keemstar of manipulating the situation just to make the Team 10 founder look bad.

One Jake Pauler wrote, “Jake was just messing around with his camera,” with another person adding, “And this is an example of Keemstar being wrong.” Yikes!

Clearly, there are lots of mixed opinions on this, but regardless of whether or not Jake was intentionally body-shaming his ex, the important thing is that body-shaming in any form is simply not cool. Let’s just lay off commenting on other people’s bodies altogether. Shall we?
