Get ready, guys, because Jack Gilinsky‘s first solo single “My Love” just dropped, and fans are seriously convinced that it’s all about his ex-girlfriend Madison Beer. For those who missed it, the former Magcon member took to Instagram on April 15 and revealed that he was releasing his debut track. Now that it’s finally here, some people think that the Jack & Jack crooner totally dedicated this tune to his on-and-off relationship with the brunette beauty.
“I mean, it’s definitely about the love of your life, like my love, and we all have our own. For me, I will love you and I hope that you will love me no matter what,” he explained during a recent interview on The Zach Sang Show. “We could go through all this crazy s**t, but at the end of the day, I’m yours and you’re mine. Literally in the lyrics, that’s what I say. Even if we’re on a break, you’re still mine and I know I’m still yours.”
During the interview, Zach Sang also asked Jack what the song means in terms of his life at the moment.
“In my love, it’s all over the place…I don’t love to talk about it because one day it’s this, the next day it’s that,” the 23-year-old explained. “It’s not necessarily an accurate representation of directly where I’m at in my personal relationship with the person that I love. In general, if you look at the whole year and past year of my life, it’s for sure accurate. That’s the vibe of my relationship.”
He continued, “We’re hot and we’re cold. It’s cool because when we’re together we f**king love each other and we can tell each other anything and we have great times together. Then, there’s other times where we’re both doing our own thing. I know that eats away at the other’s heart a little bit. So, it’s like, you hate you love you hate you love, but we’ll always be there for each other. It’s one of those things.”
As fans know, the couple split back in 2017 after Madison took to Twitter and claimed that Jack was “verbally abusive” in a since-deleted tweet. Just before their shocking split, a video went viral of Jack and Madison allegedly having an argument while at a party. The 23-year-old seemingly called his girlfriend a “f**king slut” in the disturbing clip. After the video was released, Jack confirmed the audio was of him and Madison on Twitter, and he apologized for his actions in a statement. The two social media stars began dating in 2015, and throughout their time as a couple, they constantly packed on the PDA on red carpets and shared the cutest snaps together.
Over the past few months, the pair has sparked romance rumors once again. Back in January, the two musicians met up at Toast Cafe in West Hollywood, California just after Madison returned from spending the holidays in Aspen, Colorado. In March, Jack was spotted at Madison’s 21st birthday party and just days later, photos seemingly showed the former couple shopping together while out in Los Angeles. Although they’ve yet to confirm that they’re back together, fans have speculated that they’re giving their love another try.
