Some fans are not happy with Jeffree Star after he took to Twitter and lashed out at a fellow beauty vlogger in a series of since-deleted tweets. The YouTuber called 15-year-old @OhMyGodExposeU — who also goes by the name William Spilliam — “f**king disgusting” on Sunday, March 22.
It all started after the Jeffree Star Cosmetics founder announced that he had teamed up with billionaire Bill Pulte to give away $30,000 to one of his followers amid the coronavirus pandemic. Shortly after, the makeup mogul seemingly ended his longtime feud with fellow internet star James Charles. As fans know, TikTok star Charli D’Amelio recently teamed up with James for a brand new video. He did her makeup for the vlog, and Jeffree thought it came out great! He reposted her tweet about it, adding, “Um, you look so gorgeous! James killed it per usual.”
Upon seeing these two social media posts, William took to his own Twitter account and claimed, in a since-deleted post, that Jeffree was “really trying to fix his image” by donating money and seemingly making peace with James. After seeing this, Jeffree clapped back.
“Are you helping anyone in need or just mocking and degrading my actions?” Jeffree wrote in a since-deleted post. “I’m doing everything I can to help. You are f**king disgusting.”
In a separate deleted tweet, Jeffree also called William “unstable” before blocking his account, once again.
One of William’s friends screenshotted the posts and stood up for the YouTuber.
“Lol I play Minecraft with @OhMyGodExposeU and can confirm he is not ‘disgusting’ or ‘unstable.’ He’s a very good friend of mine and was really impressed with how Jeffree was helping people. This makes me sad,” Twitter user Kodee Tyler wrote.
After Jeffree replied, William explained to fans that he wasn’t trying to shade Jeffree.
“I wasn’t mocking or degrading @JeffreeStar giving away money, I’m sorry if it came of that way, I genuinely thought it is a cool thing you are doing, because it is,” he tweeted.
