YouTuber Jeffree Star just spilled some major tea and fans are shook. Yep, that’s right, the makeup mogul seemingly revealed that his video from July 2019 where he surprised ex-boyfriend Nathan Schwandt with his dream car — an Aston Martin Vantage in Lime Essence — was totally staged.

According to a video posted to the YouTube account Tea Spill, the Jeffree Star Cosmetics founder seemingly changed the name and description of the video after fans questioned what happened to the car after the pair broke up in January 2020. The title — which has since been retuned to “Surprising My Boyfriend With His Dream Car!” — was reportedly changed to “Pretending to surprise my ex-boyfriend with his dream car.”

A fan’s screenshot also showed that the description — which has also been returned to its original wording now — admitted that the internet stars faked the entire thing.

“The car was always mine and in my name,” he seemingly explained. “I paid for it and always dreamed of owning an Aston Martin from watching James Bond 007 movies as a kid! We did this video to create content and do something fun, but sadly, this was us acting and was not a real, genuine surprise.”

As fans know, this isn’t the first time Jeffree seemingly threw shade at his ex after their split. Some fans are convinced that the beauty guru left an important message for Nathan in his new “Blood Lust” eyeshadow palette. When the collection was released in February 2020, fans were quick to notice something interesting about the names of the eyeshadow shades.

A Reddit user pointed out that in the past, Jeffree has named a lot of his green shades after Nathan. In his newest collection, the YouTuber called his green eyeshadow “Vile Serpent,” and some fans were convinced it’s directed towards his ex-boyfriend.

“I had a look at all the other shades with unique stamps and next to ‘Vile Serpent’ is ‘Betrayal’ which seems kind of telling,” the Reddit user wrote. “I think as well after Jeffree saying that his releases are like album releases, he’s saying that something other than what he’s telling us happened with the breakup? Not that I care much about knowing what happened with his breakup, I just love little hidden details/meanings in pieces of art like this that make it more personal and interesting if you get what I mean?”
