Like you, we were absolutely shocked and stunned when February came and went without a Justin Bieber compilation album. As it turned out, the rumors of a new album were totally false, and Beliebers everywhere were left brokenhearted. Now, the pop star wants fans to know that he’s aware we want a new album, but that he’s just not mentally ready to release one.

The “Sorry” crooner took to Instagram to explain why he’s not rushing into releasing any new music, and it actually makes a ton of sense. In the past, he was so unhappy on the road that he canceled several dates of his stadium tour, and he wants to avoid making those same mistakes again.

“So I read a lot of messages saying you want an album,” Justin wrote. “I’ve toured my whole teenage life, and early 20s, I realized and as you guys probably saw I was unhappy last tour and I don’t deserve that and you don’t deserve that, you pay money to come and have a lively energetic fun light concert and I was unable emotionally to give you that near the end of the tour.”

Well, he’s got a point there! After all, mental health is the most important thing, and if JB’s not going to happy traveling from city-to-city and performing every night, is it really worth it? We think not.

So I read a lot of messages saying you want an album .. I’ve toured my whole teenage life, and early 20s, I realized and as you guys probably saw I was unhappy last tour and I don’t deserve that and you don’t deserve that, you pay money to come and have a lively energetic fun light concert and I was unable emotionally to give you that near the end of the tour. I have been looking, seeking, trial and error as most of us do, I am now very focused on repairing some of the deep rooted issues that I have as most of us have, so that I don’t fall apart, so that I can sustain my marriage and be the father I want to be. Music is very important to me but Nothing comes before my family and my health. I will come with a kick ass album ASAP, my swag is undeniable and my drive is indescribable his love is supernatural his grace is that reliable…. the top is where I reside period whether I make music or not the king said so. 👑 but I will come with a vengeance believe that.. (grammar and punctuation will be terrible pretend it’s a text where u just don’t care).

He then went on to explain that he’s super committed to becoming the best version of himself that he can be, and that includes solving some issues he’s never dealt with until now.

“I have been looking, seeking, trial and error as most of us do, I am now very focused on repairing some of the deep rooted issues that I have as most of us have, so that I don’t fall apart, so that I can sustain my marriAge and be the father I want to be,” he said.

Sorry, did he say FATHER? OK, so maybe we’re getting a little ahead of ourselves, but we truly get where he’s coming from. For his entire life, he’s put music first in order to make his fans happy, but now that he’s married there are other things in his life that need to come first.

“Music is very important to me but Nothing comes before my family and my health,” he said.

Don’t worry, though! Just because he’s music isn’t his priority right now, that doesn’t mean it’s not coming. All it means is that diehard Beliebers around the world need to be a little more patient.

“I will come with a kick a– album ASAP, my swag is undeniable and my drive is indescribable his love is supernatural his grace is that reliable…. the top is where is reside period [whether] I make music or not the king said so. but I will come with a vengeance believe that.”

Considering all that the “No Brainer” crooner has overcome throughout his life, we have no reason to believe that an epic comeback isn’t on the horizon. And although we’d like new music sooner rather than later, we’re glad JB is being responsible about his mental health.  We’ll be here when you’re ready, Justin!
