Even if some of our favorite Disney Channel series have come to an end, fans still like to know that the former costars have remained friends IRL. Well, worry no more, Austin & Ally fans! Laura Marano just confirmed that she’s still super close with her costars, and some of them even supported her during a recent performance!
In an interview with Girlfriend, The Perfect Date actress opened up about what it was like having both Ross Lynch and Calum Worthy at her show.
“I performed at a venue in LA called The Roxy and it’s a pretty cool venue and [Ross] and Calum came to see me and we hung out after the show and it was so lovely and so sweet,” she recalled.
NGL, we love that they’re so supportive of one another — especially considering the fact that the show’s been off the air since January 2016. But if you thought that was all the former Disney Channel star had to say, you’d be wrong. Laura continued to gush over the Chilling Adventures of Sabrina actor, and our hearts are literally melting.
“He’s awesome and I’m so happy to see him thriving and doing acting and music because I know he loves both so so much and he’s so, so talented,” she revealed. “So yeah, we also have a group text that we try to plan hanging out but our schedules are all so crazy but I miss them. I miss them so much!”
To be honest, we miss them too, and we’re hoping we have even more cast reunions to look forward to in the future. After all, the series first aired on Disney Channel in 2011, so it’s not hard to understand why they miss each other so much. We mean, they worked together for roughly five years, so of course they were like family!
Understandably, however, they’re all pretty swamped with work right now. But still, we’ll be on the lookout for some more Austin & Ally cast outings. You know we can’t get enough of ’em!
