It looks like Liam Payne and his girlfriend, Maya Henry, are still going strong! The model just confirmed that they’re still together, days after rumors had hit the web that they had decided to go their separate ways, and fans of the couple could not be happier.
On Saturday, February 29, the 19-year-old shared a snap of the former One Direction member’s hands to her Instagram Stories, seemingly ending all speculation that they had called it quits.
For those who missed it, fans first started to worry that something had gone wrong between the pair after sources told The Sun on February 26, 2020, that the two stars had split after six months together.
“Things between Liam and Maya had been rocky recently and they eventually decided to call it a day,” an insider told the outlet. “He was extremely busy at the end of last year and when he eventually stopped, they were both able to re-evaluate exactly what they want. They decided to go their separate ways but he isn’t moping and wants to put it behind him. He has been telling people he is single and is looking to the future.”
But according to Daily Mail, they didn’t break up after all! Another source told them, “Maya and Liam are definitely still a couple and are very happy together. Both been taking time off social media lately and enjoying each other’s company away from the spotlight.”
For those who missed it, the “Strip That Down” crooner and the brunette beauty were first spotted together in August 2018, but it wasn’t until they were photographed holding hands in September 2019 that rumors started to swirl that they were in a relationship. After that, they were pretty much inseparable — constantly posting adorable photos together, gushing over each other in interviews and packing on the PDA all over the world!
“We’re fairly happy at the moment,” Liam told Capital FM in September 2019. “I’m just past the point of where I’m bothered or not. It’s not worth my happiness. I’d just rather go out and do what I want. I’ve got nothing to hide.”
