It’s no secret that Selena Gomez hasn’t had the easiest time when it comes to her love life, and now, the singer has admitted that sometimes she worries she’ll be “alone forever.”

“Some days when I wake up and I’m annoyed and I’m like, ‘I’m gonna be alone forever,’” the “Bad Liar” songstress admitted during a recent interview. “But after that 15 minutes goes away, I say to myself, ‘I know that there’s someone for everybody.’ I’m still a baby. I’ve got a lot to figure out. But I do know — I believe. It’s not always going to be OK, but that’s alright. We’ll all get through this. Life’s not always going to be perfect.”

As fans know, the former Disney actress dated Justin Bieber on and off for more than eight years, and it may go down in history as the messiest relationship of all time! They broke up and got back together so many times, and Selena has even claimed that she had been a “victim” of emotional abuse while dating the “Yummy” singer. Besides Justin, she has also been linked to The Weeknd, Taylor Lautner, Niall Horan, Charlie Puth, Zedd and more.

Aside from her dating life, the 27-year-old also got real about her insecurities while discussing the meaning behind her newest single, “Rare.”

“Self esteem and confidence is a constant struggle for me. It’s getting better with time and age but it will always be something that I’m working on,” she admitted. “But actually, I deserve this and I have a right to claim this and I have a right to put out the things that I want to put out and talk about the things that I want to talk about … I think what’s so important is acknowledging, ‘Hey, I don’t have it all and I’m not saying I’m perfect but I do know that I’m special.’

Selena also opened up about some of the negative aspects she’s experience in a past unhealthy relationship.

“There’s this satisfaction out of hurting someone because you know that they care. Purposefully putting someone down because you want to keep them, like to keep that person down so they never realize, ‘I’m strong enough to get out of this situation,'” the Wizards of Waverly Place alum explained. “It’s like, ‘Oh, I’m glad that you’re crying over me because clearly you still love me.’ It’s a bit manipulative.”
