It looks like there’s no more bad blood between Selena Gomez and Bella Hadid. The “Lose You To Love Me” singer seemingly ended the two-year beef on Monday, November 4 by following the 23-year-old and her sister, Gigi Hadid, on Instagram. Unfortunately, the model did not reciprocate the gesture of good will and still doesn’t follow the singer back.
For those who don’t know, back in 2017 Bella started the drama when she unfollowed Selena on social media after pictures of the singer kissing the model’s ex, The Weeknd, went public. After ten months of dating, the pair broke up and on Instagram, Bella refollowed her ex-boyfriend while Selena unfollowed him.
In 2018, Bella and The Weeknd reconciled their relationship for a year before breaking up again on August 6, 2019. During that time, the model took to Instagram and made headlines when she liked one of The Wizards of Waverly Place star’s photos from Cannes Film Festival in May. It seemed like all the feuding was over back then but now, thanks to Selena’s follow, it’s almost confirmed that all the avoiding each other on red carpets is behind them.
A lot has changed since their drama started in 2017. Now, Selena is living her best life as a single girl. During a recent appearance on the Zach Sang Show, the 27-year-old opened up about her relationship status and revealed that she loves not having a boyfriend.
“I’ve been super, super single for two years and I want to know what that love will look like next for me,” she said. “I want it to be real and I don’t want it to be codependent or messy or lack of communication. When you get older you find people who are actually right for you, that are actually on the same wavelength. Honestly [dating] is so stressful so I’ve been having way too much fun being on my own. It sucked for the first year, I was like, ‘I just wanna cuddle, I just wanna watch something and be adored.’ Now it feels good. Now it feels awesome.”
