Although Selena Gomez has made it clear that she’s ready to move on from Justin Bieber, her recent social media interactions may tell a different story. The singer just seemingly liked and unliked two photos of her ex on Instagram, and fans are pretty shook over it.
The first photo that she allegedly hit the like button on was a throwback shot of her and the “Love Yourself” crooner in Jamaica. The second was a picture that Moises Arias took of Justin’s body. It was a close-up snap of the singer’s chest, with his intricate tattoos on full display. Although she unliked the photos now, some fans were quick to take screenshots and repost them on social media.
As fans know, the former Wizards of Waverly Place star and the 26-year-old first started dating back in 2010, and were on and off for almost eight years. Their relationship was definitely a rollercoaster ride — one month they would be spotted packing on the PDA or walking hand-in-hand, and the next they’d be shading each other on social media or in interviews! Selena’s BFF Taylor Swift even seemingly hinted that the singer had cheated on Selena at one point, when she liked a super shady post about it on Tumblr. Not to mention that they wrote numerous songs about one another! Eventually, things ended for good when the musician fell for model Hailey Baldwin, who he married in September 2018.
Back in January, when Selena dropped her new album, Rare, she made it clear that she was ready to move on from Justin.
“It was very difficult and I’m happy it’s over,” she said in an interview with NPR . “I felt like this [album] was a great way to just say, you know, it’s done, and I understand that, and I respect that, and now here I am stepping into a whole other chapter.”
