We can all agree on the fact that it’s been a hot minute since Selena Gomez dropped a new album, but don’t worry, Selenators — it’s coming. The “Back To You” songstress gave a much needed update to her fans on Instagram, in which she revealed that a new LP is on the way.
That’s right, you guys! The singer just dropped her music video for “I Can’t Get Enough” featuring Benny Blanco, J Balvin, and Tainy, but more music is on the way. In fact, she’s cooking up some new songs in the studio as we speak!
“I’m currently in the studio and it’s going really good,’ Selena said recently on Instagram Live.
As we all know, it’s been several years since the former Disney Channel star released a full-length album, and even though we know it’s going to be absolute fire, the 26-year-old has a lot of anxiety about her next release and wants to make sure she’s making the right choices in terms of the direction of her music career.
“I’m just nervous about it, honestly, ’cause I feel like the next few choices that I’m gonna make are very crucial,” she shared.
Personally, we were obsessed with her 2015 album Revival, which was her most recent. The LP included bops such as “Kill Em With Kindness” and “Hands To Myself,” as well as emotional ballads including “Sober” and “Camouflage.” In other words, we really don’t think we have anything to worry about.
Unfortunately, the “Wolves” singer didn’t divulge many details about what we can expect from her new music or when we can expect it, but she did say a new album is coming — and possibly sooner than we thought.
“I’m trying to be really really diligent and just patient with everything,” she added. “But I love you guys very much. The album is coming very soon!”
