Well, fam! It seems that there was definitely something to those Zayn Malik and Aladdin rumors. The former One Direction crooner just took to Instagram to tease a version of “A Whole New World” that he did with Zhavia Ward for the upcoming live-action remake, and we seriously have chills.

“‘A Whole New World out now!” he wrote alongside a snippet of the music video.

Even though we’re completely shook by their rendition of the iconic song, we’d be lying if we said we didn’t see this one coming. Rumors first began to swirl back in January 2018 that he would be singing on the duet, but originally, people thought Selena Gomez would be singing it with him. Hmm…

So what exactly prompted the Zayn and Selena collaboration rumors? Well, we’re still not sure! Neither artist dropped any hints about it, but fan accounts on Twitter were all over the buzz. Alas, they were only partly true because the “Hands to Myself” songstress isn’t on the track at all.

Instead, the “Pillowtalk” singer worked with Zhavia, who rose to stardom on the singing competition show The Four: Battle for Stardom. Their voices melt together seamlessly, proving that this is the version of “A Whole New World” we’ve been needing in our lives. Plus, the song came with a romantic music video to boot! See?

We told you it’s romantic! And it also totally explains why the 26-year-old was spotted filming something in Central Park in New York City back in April. Of course, we had a strong feeling he was doing something for the movie, but we didn’t quite know what it was until now.

Fortunately, all our dreams came true and the heartthrob sang just about everyone’s favorite song from the soundtrack. How iconic is that? Now excuse us as we watch the video and listen to their angelic voices sing this classic tune over and over and over again. Can you even blame us? It’s absolute magic!
