Can we get a show of hands — who else cannot get enough of Riverdale? The CW series quickly became everyone’s obsession after it aired in 2017, and now, three seasons later, we’re all still hooked! Well guys, prepare yourselves because we have the BEST. NEWS. EVER… The show just got renewed for it’s fourth season! That’s right, you’ll be able to watch your favorite crew — Veronica Lodge, Archie Andrews, Betty Cooper and Jughead Jones — on screen together for another season! SCREAMING.
Naturally, the cast is just as excited about it as we all are, and their reactions are making us pretty emotional. “It sounds absolutely insane to say the words ‘Season 4,'” Camila Mendes wrote on Twitter. “Doesn’t feel real. I’m so grateful. Thank you, thank you, thank you.”

She also took to Instagram to gush over the news, where she shared a snap of her and Lili Reinhart screaming. “HOW WE FEEL ABOUT SEASON 4,” she wrote. OK, that’s a mood, LOL.
KJ Apa was just as excited. “Love you all and pumped to do it all again,” he wrote on Instagram. “Congrats to all on Season 4.”
Madelaine Petsch, who plays Cheryl Blossom in the epic series, could hardly contain her excitement. “SEASON 4 HERE WE COME!! It’s official baby,” she wrote on Twitter.

She also took to Instagram, where she shared an emotional post from the first day they filmed the show. “This photo is from my first day on the set of Riverdale, the show that single handedly changed my life,” she wrote. “I am so happy/proud to announce we just got picked up for a SEASON 4! This is all thanks to our crazy talented writers, the amazing cast, the hardest working crew and especially all of you.”
OK, we may or may not be crying. Mädchen Amick, who we all know and love as Betty’s mom in the show, wrote, “Season 4 baby!!!! So thankful for our Riverdale renewal. Thank you CW. Blessed to work with such an amazing cast that have truly become my close friends. Grateful for our incredibly hard working writers, producers, directors & the bestest kick-a– crew ever!!! WOOP”
Wow, we’re seriously getting emotional. “It’s official! Season 4 of Riverdale is a go!” Marisol Nichols, who plays Hermione Lodge gushed on Instagram. “To the best fans ever… thank you all. Couldn’t be more thrilled about telling more stories about our special little town. Love you guys so much!”
“Three years ago, this show only existed as a script and this image. Now, there’s a superstar group of actors playing these iconic roles. And a spectacular crew that brings our small, murderous town to life,” the executive producer and writer, Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, wrote on Instagram. “Thrilled and humbled to be able to continue telling stories for Season 4 (!!) of Riverdale.”
As J-14 readers know, the third season of the CW show has definitely been a wild ride so far. From Archie going to jail to Veronica and Reggie becoming a couple, there have been a ton of twists and turns. We’re constantly on the edge of our seats, and we’re seriously loving it! We can only imagine what Season 4 is going to bring. Of course, with almost an entire half of Season 3 left to go, there’s no telling who will survive until Season 4 — or who will come back from the dead!
