Music’s biggest night just brought two huge artists together and fans can’t get enough! On Wednesday, January 22, Ariana Grande took to Instagram and posted a black and white photo of herself sitting alongside six members of the fan-favorite Korean pop band BTS.
“Look who I bumped into at rehearsal,” the “Thank U Next” songstress captioned the post.
The pic seemed to be taken backstage as both musical acts prepared for their upcoming performances at the 2020 Grammy Awards, which are set to take place on Sunday, January 26. As fans know, it was announced that Ariana would perform at the awards show earlier this month. Fans were quick to speculate that this meant BTS would also be taking the stage, and their theory was confirmed on Thursday, January 23.
In a newly released statement, the Recording Academy announced the first-ever “Old Town Road All-Stars” segment, which is set to feature Little Nas X and Billy Ray Cyrus singing their hit song “Old Town Road” along with BTS, Diplo, Mason Ramsey and some other surprise artists.
That’s not all! The Jonas Brothers, Camila Cabello, Tyler, the Creator, Rosalía, Billie Eilish, Lizzo, Aerosmith, Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani are also set to hit the stage this year’s star-studded event. The show will also will also feature a special tribute to the late rapper Nipsey Hussle featuring Kirk Franklin, DJ Khaled, John Legend, Meek Mill, Roddy Ricch and YG. Plus, Demi Lovato announced on January 14, 2020, that she’s going to perform some of her new music at the awards show, and fans are freaking out! According to reports, the former Camp Rock star will be singing a song she wrote just days before her scary overdose in July 2018, and the lyrics will reflect her state of mind during that time in her life. It will be the first time she’s performed since 2018.
