When Alissa Violet posted a nude photo of herself on Instagram, many fans worried that the picture had been leaked by the social media star’s ex-boyfriend FaZe Banks. But she was quick to shut these rumors down. In a series of alleged DMs, the blonde beauty told a fan that she actually posted the racy photos because a hacker was threatening to release them.
“Can you clear the air for me?” she seemingly wrote. “It literally has nothing to do with [FaZe]. A hacker was threatening to leak it so I just posted it. All my tags are thinking it’s [FaZe] threatening to leak them which is not true.”
The photo has now been taken down. And it turns out, Alissa isn’t the only star to go through this. Back in August, James Charles was forced to share a nude photo of himself after dealing with hackers.
“Hi I got my account back. Just case I ever get hacked again, here’s the ONLY nude I’ve ever taken! Can’t threaten me with it now. Get a life,” he wrote on Twitter, alongside a snap which showed off his rear side.
Bella Thorne was also forced to share personal photos after being targeted by hackers.
“Yesterday, as you all know my s–t was hacked. For the last 24 hours I have been threatened with my own nudes. I feel gross. I feel watched. I feel someone has taken something from me that I only wanted one special person to see,” she shared. “He has sent me multiple nude photos of other celebrities. He won’t stop with me or them he will just keep going. For too long I let a man take advantage of me over and over and I’m f–king sick of it. I’m putting this out because it’s MY DECISION NOW. YOU DON’T GET TO TAKE YET ANOTHER THING FROM ME. I can sleep tonight better knowing I took my power back. You can’t control my life. You never will.”
“Here’s the photos he’s been threatening me with. In other words, here’s my boobies,” she continued. “So here, f–k you. The last 24 hours I have been crying instead of celebrating my book while doing my book press. Oh yeah, the FBI will be at your house shortly, so watch your mother f–king back.”
Etika, Shane Dawson, Amanda Cerny and King Bach‘s Twitter accounts have all also been compromised in recent months.
