Fans of the Jonas Brothers are already gearing up for new music, an upcoming tour and even a documentary — and now, we can add a tell-all book to that list!

Yep, that’s right. Nick, Joe and Kevin Jonas took to social media on Tuesday, May 28 to announce the news that they will be releasing a book, titled Blood.

“For those of you who have been with us since the beginning… #BLOOD is our family’s story and we can’t wait to share it with you,” they tweeted alongside the artwork for the upcoming book.

As fans know, the boys have been very open about their struggles as both a band and as brothers. The boys announced their split in October 2013 and made their big comeback on February 28, 2019. But what happened in between? Turns out, they had a huge rough patch in their relationship as siblings.

“There was definitely a strain emotionally that was being put on all of us,” Nick, 26, told Wonderland Magazine for their Summer 2019 issue. “We had such a specific way of doing things for so long and I think as we got older and tried to progress artistically, we got stuck in those old ways so our music suffered and our general vibe with each other and ability to communicate in a healthy way no longer existed. I think it was always a priority for us to protect the family first and make sure that nothing ever complicated that relationship too much. We got to the point to have that conversation, which I initiated, where I said, ‘I feel like I’ve got music in my heart and in my head that I want to make, and I feel like with all the stress that we’ve been going through together, this isn’t the right thing for us to do anymore.'”

Joe, 29, also said that before the band split, there wasn’t any “heart” left in the group.

“We all wanted to create something on our own and were just trying to force it into what was going on. We were going through the motions, without the heart of it,” Joe said in a Billboard interview in April. “The way we communicated to each other wasn’t healthy anymore.”

Their 31-year-old brother Kevin also explained how great it’s been to have the group back together after so many obstacles.

“It’s been incredible, being back together after the longest time apart and spending this amount of time together in the studio, not to mention actually announcing this stuff and the response to the music,” Kevin told Paper Magazine earlier this month. “It’s been so overwhelming and so exciting. It means so much to us to be able to do this again as brothers. It’s just beyond.”

We can’t wait to find out more about their journey as a family. You can pre-order the Jonas Brothers’ upcoming book, Blood, here.
