Get ready, guys, because Maddie Ziegler is headed to Netflix! That’s right, the former Dance Moms star just joined the cast of the upcoming teen drama, The Fallout, alongside Jenna Ortega.

For those who missed it, back in February, it was announced that the former Disney Channel starlet would lead the brand new high school-themed drama. According to DeadlineThe Fallout — written and directed by actress turned filmmaker Megan Park — is set to follow high schooler Vada (played by Jenna) and the emotions she experiences after a tragedy takes place at her school. “Relationships with her family, friends and view on the world are forever altered,” a statement read.

As of now, it’s unclear who exactly Maddie is set to play, but one of The Fallout‘s producers David Brown told The Hollywood Reporter that “Maddie is an exceptional talent, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to bring her on board. She will bring so much to the production.”

Maddie is no stranger to the streaming service. As fans know, the 17-year-old had a total surprise cameo in Netflix’s original movie To All The Boys 2: P.S. I Still Love You. Not only did she show off some major moves during her appearance in the film as one of the school’s cheerleaders, but also lent her vocals to the pep squad’s rendition of Billie Eilish‘s “Ocean Eyes.” Maddie even interacted with the film’s star Lana Condor! Her character went up to Lara Jean with a rose on Valentine’s Day, and warned her to expect a major declaration of love from boyfriend Peter K — played by Noah Centineo.

Aside from her epic TATBILB role, Maddie is also set to appear in the upcoming Steven Spielberg-directed West Side Story movie-musical. Back in April 2019, she was cast as one of the Jets and will, no doubt, bring all her best moves to the film.
