If you’re a fan of To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before, then it probably came by no surprise when Noah Centineo and Lana Condor took home the trophy for best kiss at the 2019 MTV Movie & TV Awards on Monday night.
The duo took the stage to accept the award together, and their speech was nothing short of magical for shippers out there.
“Wow. About a year and a half ago we made this little movie and we had no idea this was gonna happen,” the 22-year-old actress gushed. “This is all because of you guys, the fans. Thank you.”
Her 22-year-old costar then chimed in, saying, “Thanks to Lana’s lips.”
Lana added, “I just wanted to say thank you to Noah for being an amazing partner. And also, kiss who you wanna kiss, love who you wanna love and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.”
What a lovely way to end their acceptance speech. Now, it is clear that these two are just friends — but the Netflix stars have serious chemistry and even play up the dating rumors from time to time. But don’t get too excited because Lana is in a relationship with actor and musician Anthony De La Torre — and they appear to be head over heels in love!
“He writes me love letters, actually! He’s done that since we started dating and I keep them all. We try to keep the spark alive!” Lana told Us Weekly in August 2018. “When I have a lot of emotion going on, I’ll write. I write letters to my family, my boyfriend, anyone I’m trying to get my point across to. It’s easier for me to express myself.”
Ugh, our hearts! Well, even though Noah and Lana aren’t together IRL, we’re glad Peter Kavinsky and Lara Jean’s steamy smooch got the recognition it truly deserved!
