It’s finally happening, you guys! Noah Centineo, Camila Mendes and Laura Marano‘s movie that we’ve all been waiting for is coming really soon. The Perfect Date (which was previously named The Stand-In) will make its debut on Netflix sooner than we had originally thought. Before it comes out, though, there are some things you need to know.

Let’s start with the trailer, shall we? The streaming service dropped the trailer on March 26, and it’s seriously everything we were hoping for and more. We mean, an app that let’s you book the “To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before” star as your date for any occasion? Sign us up! Plus, he looks as swoon-worthy as ever in the flick. See?

Clearly, there’s a lot to look forward to, and whether you ship Noah’s character with Camila or Laura, the truth is we all live for a good love triangle, so we’re super excited to see how this all plays out. And lucky for us, we won’t have to wait long.

At first, Netflix hinted that the movie would be released in summer 2019, saying, “Very Important Announcement Alert. @ncentineo will pretend to be your boyfriend this summer! Well, he will in the Netflix original movie ‘The Perfect Date’ w/ @camimendes and @lauramarano.”

If you want to know the flick’s real release date, though, you’ll have to keep scrollin’.

What is The Perfect Date about?

OK, now this premise is really funny. The To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before actor plays the leading character Brooks. He creates a dating app as a way to raise money for college, which involves pretending to be a “stand-in” boyfriend – see why it was previously named The Stand-In? So basically, Noah’s character acts as a back-up boyfriend for anyone in need of one. As you could image, he’ll end up falling head over heels with one of the lucky ladies. As for Camila, the Riverdale actress plays Shelby. And spoiler alert – she’s the one Brooks falls for.

“Shelby’s the girl that Brooks always dreamed of being with. It’s funny because she does share some similarities with Veronica. She’s very well off and goes to a prep school; she comes from this world that is very different from the world that Brooks comes from,” the 24-year-old actress explained in and interview with Teen Vogue. “Basically, throughout the film, she is confronted with the fact that he’s been lying to her about something. I don’t really want to talk about too much of it because I’m going to end up spoiling something.”

“It was really fun. I love Noah, I love Laura. The first day we met, we all stayed up in our hotel room until 8 in the morning. We were talking about everything, and it was such a beautiful conversation, just a great way to get to know each other,” Camila continued. “That kind of set the tone for the rest of the film. It was a really good group; Odiseas [Georgiadis, who plays Murph] too — he’s super cool and I’m really excited for him to be discovered. We all bonded very quickly.”

Best part? Laura and Noah go way back, considering he had a small role in Austin & Ally back in the day!

“He was my first love interest on Austin & Ally and he’s just as lovely as ever. It’s crazy how much he’s blown up, it’s actually insane,” Laura said in an interview with PEOPLE Now“He’s the sweetest guy ever.”

But that’s not all! Laura and Noah totally kept their Austin & Ally memories alive while doing this movie. Remember their awkward dance moves on the Disney Channel series? Well, you’ll be glad to know they’ve carried over to The Perfect Date as well.

“It was so much fun,” Laura told ET. “… One of the things we did on Austin & Ally was awkwardly dance together, which, not planned at all and very coincidental, we do in The Perfect Date. So, it was really fun kind of making that come alive again.” Aw!

When does the movie premiere?

Try not to freak out, you guys, but the rom-com officially has a release date and it will hit the streaming platform on April 12, 2019. Laura even took to Instagram to post the hilarious announcement.

In the image, Laura asks the Sierra Burgess Is a Loser star to name his perfect date. His response? “That’s a tough one. I’d have to say April 12th. Because it’s not too hot & it’s not too cold. And ‘The Perfect Date’ comes out on Netflix!”
