Following their April 2020 breakup and the July 2020 TikTok drama that came after it, Charli D’Amelio and Chase Hudson have officially reunited. Yep, there seemed to be no more bad blood between the two influencers on August 20, when they uploaded a brand new TikTok video together.
After their post hit the web, fans totally freaked out and wondered if the two were rekindling their whirlwind relationship. But according to a comment that was screenshotted and reposted to the TikTok Room Instagram account, Charli and Chase’s followers weren’t the only ones who had something to say about their reunion. That’s right, in a since-deleted comment, Dixie D’Amelio seemingly shaded her sister and wrote, “All that, for what?”
Hype House cofounder Thomas Petrou also seemingly set the record straight on Chase and Charli’s relationship with comment reading, “My favorite friendship.”
For those who missed it, Dixie’s since-deleted comment seemingly referred to the serious drama which riddled the TikTok world on July 6, 2020. At the time, fans started to wonder if something had gone down between exes, Charli and Chase, after the 16-year-old unfollowed him on Instagram. As it turned out, Charli not only unfollowed Chase, but she also stopped following Josh Richards‘ ex-girlfriend, Nessa Barrett, too. Then, in a since-deleted tweet, Chase claimed that he kissed Nessa while they were both single. Charli clapped back, and after that, pretty much everyone in both the Hype House and Sway House got involved and rallied behind her.
Since then, both Charli and Chase have addressed the entire situation and in a tear-filled livestream, Charli told fans that she had a “very long” talk with Chase and they realized that “they were just not right for each other.” A month later, in early August, she also told the paparazzi that she’s “friends” with Chase following their breakup.
Looks like there’s nothing romantic going on between these two and that they’re simply friends.
