If you’ve been following James Charles‘ biggest scandals recently, then you know about his former fling Sam Cooke, best known as “the waiter from Seattle.” Well, after their very public feud, now fans think the two might be dating. Allow us to explain…
Let’s back up for a second. As fans know, YouTuber Tati Westbrook posted a 43-minute video exposing James back in May. In the video, she slammed her former friend for promoting a business that is a direct competitor to her vitamin company. But what really stirred up drama is when she accused the 19-year-old of allegedly manipulating straight men into “thinking they’re gay.” That’s where the waiter from Seattle comes in. Without dropping Sam’s name, she accused James of acting inappropriately toward him in her “BYE SISTER…” video.
The 37-year-old said, “The last phone conversation that James Charles and I had, he said some things, telling me about a situation that happened in Seattle at my birthday, and it literally made me want to vomit. Oh my God, you tried to trick a straight man into thinking he’s gay yet again. And somehow, you’re the victim. You know, it’s really disgusting to manipulate someone’s sexuality — especially when they are still emerging into adulthood.”
Then, Sam took to YouTube to tell his story. In the now-deleted video, the waiter explained that James came to the restaurant he worked at for Tati’s birthday dinner. The following day, Sam — who claimed he was bicurious at the time — direct messaged James on Instagram. Long story short, they ended up making out in his hotel and messaging for a while. But then, Sam said he eventually realized he was straight — which surprised James. Sam even released a message James allegedly sent him, which read, “You’re not straight, no matter how many times you tell yourself.”
Despite the fact that Sam posted an apology video for James, things between them were quite messy. That is — until Sam posted a photo to his Instagram Stories on August 18 — and fans quickly noticed that his post looked a lot like James’ pool. See?
Sure, it’s possible that he could be at another pool in L.A. — but it does look a lot like James’ backyard, if we do say so ourselves.
But the proof doesn’t end there! People also pointed out that James has been expressing how happy he is on social media. Could it have something to do with his love life?

Earlier this week, James finally regained his YouTube subscriber count. After his drama with Tati, the beauty guru lost over three million subscribers — which is a whole lot, seeing as he had over 16 million subs at the time. But now, about three months after the feud, he’s back to his 16 million sub count. It looks like James is moving on in more ways than one!
