Just days after Jeffree Star and Shane Dawson uploaded a review of Kylie Jenner‘s new skincare line and made it clear they weren’t fans, James Charles wants the world to know that he is.
The reality star took to her Instagram Stories to share a sweet text message conversation with the YouTuber on Tuesday, June 4, and he couldn’t stop gushing over her new products.
“OK dude, Kylie Skin is working really well for me,” he wrote to her. “When I got back from Australia my skin was beyond awful but I’ve been using it every day and it’s cleared up so much.”
Aww, we love a supportive sister! As fans know, the 21-year-old Keeping Up With the Kardashians star has received a ton of backlash over some of the ingredients she used in the new line. Especially walnuts, which, as Jeffree pointed out in his review, can “rip open your skin.” ICYMI, in their 33-minute video, which was uploaded on June 2, Jeffree and Shane, 30, totally slammed Kylie’s line after trying out each product.
“Everything feels, to me, very basic,” Shane said, while Jeffree added, “Overall I’m just not impressed. I didn’t feel like, ‘Wow my skin feels great.’ I just wasn’t really wowed by anything. My skin didn’t feel like it was ready for makeup.”
Kylie has yet to respond to Shane and Jeffree’s video, although, posting her conversation with James may be a low-key message to the guys. What does it have to do with them, you ask? Well, fans know that James and Jeffree aren’t the best of friends. And that’s because the makeup mogul sent the 20-year-old a series of nasty text messages and tweets after he was “canceled” by fellow YouTuber Tati Westbrook. He even called him a “danger to society.” Jeffree, 33, later apologized to the beauty guru.
