The cast of fan-favorite Disney Channel show Jessie will never forget their late costar Cameron Boyce. On Friday, April 10, Debby Ryan, Peyton List, Skai Jackson, Karan Brar, Kevin Chamberlin and Carolyn Hennesy teamed up for the “Stars in the House” livestream to benefit The Actors Fund amid the current coronavirus pandemic. During the stream, the stars shed some tears while sharing their favorite memories of the 20-year-old actor who died on July 6, 2019, after suffering from a seizure in his sleep due to a medical condition called epilepsy.

“Cameron was just an amazing soul and person and I’m so grateful to have had such a small group [of friends] and him be a part of it. He really did impact my life in an insane way. He made me such a better person. He was younger than me and he would teach me something every day,” Peyton remembered. Karan added, “Every time we had breaks we were like two peas in a pod and we were always just hanging out together, but I guess spending time in our dressing rooms together and just talking about what we wanted to do in the future and, I guess, just figuring life out together. We were both close in age that we were both going through the same experiences and helping each other figure it out. Any of those smaller moments are probably my favorite ones with Cam.”

As fans know, a few months before his death, Karan and Cameron moved into an apartment together along with Gamer’s Guide to Pretty Much Everything star Sophie Reynolds.

For those who don’t know, the Jessie cast aren’t the only ones continuously remembering the Descendants star’s legacy. During an episode of the brand new Quibi series Thanks A Million, Yara Shahidi donated $100,000 in Cameron’s memory to his parents Libby and Victor

“Cameron’s light extended to the many communities he was committed to serving. I remain endlessly inspired by his work and the work his family and close friends continue with the @thecameronboycefoundation,” the Black-ish actress wrote on Instagram alongside a heartfelt clip from the show.
