‘Home’

Of all the theories that fans have come up with thus far, it seems that “Home” is one of the most popular. Why? Because there’s so much evidence to prove it. For starters, she posted the photo above on Instagram on July 13 of last year, which is also one of the rumored dates of TS7‘s release due to the number of briefcases and clouds in the “ME!” music video. Hmm…

Aside from the date, though, Tay uploaded that pic from her childhood home with the caption, “Take me home,” which is only one of many clues that support this theory.

After “ME!” officially came out, Tay took to Twitter to share a video of her new cat, which may have also been another hint.

“Think about the place where you first met ME!” she captioned it.

Well, we first met “ME!” in Nashville — another place she considers home — when she first unveiled the title of the song.

But wait, there’s more. The music video itself alludes to several of Tay’s homes. First, there’s the Christmas tree, which could be hinting at the Christmas tree farm she grew up on in Pennsylvania. Then, there are those cowboy boots, which is another ode to Nashville. And did you see Big Ben? Yeah, there are several London landmarks in the video too.

OK, we know you’re probably shook AF, but that’s not even the half of it! Do you know that colorful brick road in the “ME!” video? Well, some Swifties are utterly convinced it’s hinting at The Wizard of Oz, which is notorious for the line, “There’s no place like home.” And apparently, fans have spotted a bunch of other similarities between the classic movie and the music video too. Woah.

So what’s up with that painting of the Dixie Chicks? We’re so glad you asked! At first, many fans thought perhaps a collaboration was in the works. Now, however, they’re convinced it’s proof that the title is “Home.” But where’s the proof?

For starters, Tay mentioned the country group in a recent interview with Elle, saying, “To this day, when I hear ‘Cowboy Take Me Away’ by the Dixie Chicks, I instantly recall the feeling of being twelve years old, sitting in a little wood paneled room in my family home in Pennsylvania.”

And here’s the real kicker: The Dixie Chicks actually released an album in 2002 called — wait for it — HOME. Uh, what?!

That’s right, you guys! The Dixie Chicks DID. THAT. And if you’re still struggling with this theory, we just have one thing to say: You can’t spell “home” without “me” either. BOOM.

‘Daisy’

OK. If “Home” didn’t do it for you, perhaps “Daisy” will. This theory was created entirely by Tumblr user TinManClin, and we seriously are in awe over what they’ve discovered.

You know the stack of three books on the dresser in the “ME!” music video. Well, if you looked closely enough, you may have noticed that you can only read the title of the top book, which is Cartier’s in the 20th Century. When they looked into this book a little further and read the description, they realized the first name mentioned was Daisy Fellowes.

At this point, you’re probably thinking to yourself: So what? But the evidence doesn’t stop there. Upon further research, this Swiftie discovered that Daisy Fellowes wrote a book called Cats in the Isle of Man (Taylor loves cats!), and actually died on December 13, 1962. If that date rings a bell, it’s probably because it’s the “Don’t Blame Me” singer’s birthday.

Speaking of “Don’t Blame Me,” you might also remember that there’s a lyric in the song that goes, “I once was poison ivy but now I’m your daisy.” Is it getting weird yet? Yeah, we thought so! And not to freak you out even more, but those flowers that Brendon offered to Taylor in the video were — you guessed it — DAISIES.

We know we’ve already told you a lot, but there’s still even more signs that point to Daisy! For example, many of you know that she named her new kitten Benjamin Button. Well, in The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, there’s a character named Daisy in the BUTTERFLY EFFECT scene! Not to mention, Tay’s long been obsessed with The Great Gatsby (“Feelin’ so Gatsby for that whole year,” remember?) and one of the main characters’ names is Daisy too!

And FINALLY, you probably already know that the pop star has released some merch in her online store already. Welp, did you notice the tote bag? It totally has a daisy on it, and we’re seriously shook.

‘Butterfly’

Since we already mentioned butterflies, let’s dive right into that theory, shall we?

As you can see in the photo above, the “Call It What You Want” songstress wore this gorgeous pair of shoes to the IHeartRadio Music Awards, which included an iridescent butterfly on the heel. This was one of the first signs fan got that butterflies would be a significant part of this era.

Then, of course, there was that photo she posted on March 14, 2019, which she captioned with something about the “butterfly migration in Southern California.” Uh, what?

Already, we know this is too much to be just a coincidence. But still, we encourage you to follow along because the proof is about to get even crazier.

Aside from the obvious butterfly mural that was painted in Nashville to celebrate the release of “ME!”, Tay’s been using the butterfly emoji every now and then too. Like on this photo, which could very well be the album cover.

And not so fast! The “ME!” music video shows the snake from the Reputation era bursting into a group of beautiful butterflies, otherwise known as a kaleidoscope.

‘Kaleidoscope’

And speaking of kaleidoscopes, the “ME!” music video is full of ’em! That has to count for something, right?

One thing we all know about kaleidoscopes is that they’re colorful, which pretty much sums up the “ME!” music video on a visual front. You can also consider the group of butterflies a hint too, since we already mentioned they’re referred to as kaleidoscopes as well.

TBH, that all seems pretty straightforward to us. In fact, it almost seems a little too obvious to be the album title, no? Well, at least it did until one Swiftie noticed the word “kaleidoscope” in jumbled letters across the snake’s body and brought it to our attention on Twitter.

Well, that’s certainly something to think about, isn’t it?

‘Forever’

This probably just looks like another kaleidoscope at this point, but it’s actually what some fans have perceived as a clue that her next album will be titled “Forever.”

That’s right! This theory all begin when a fan noticed something strange in the credits of Taylor’s Reputation Tour movie on Netflix. In those credits, it says, “sequel to ‘…More.'”

Immediately, this set something off in that fan’s brain, which reminded them of her song “New Year’s Day.” The slow ballad has a lyric that goes, “you and me forevermore.” We don’t know about you, but we live for a fill-in-the-blank moment!

And that’s not the only one of her lyrics that uses that word. Remember in “Welcome to New York” when she sings, “It’s a new soundtrack I could dance to this beat, beat forevermore?” Hmm…

She also said the word during a video clip that was played during the NFL draft, in which she visited some old Nashville hot spots.

“I hope it stays this way forever,” she said of the Bluebird Cafe.

Then, fans also pointed out the palm trees in the “ME!” video, noting that trees represent “eternal life.” So what do you think? Could the album really be called “Forever?” At this point, who knows?

‘Heart’

OK we know this is just a pic of a single heart, but hear us out, OK? Hearts are literally all over the place on Tay’s Instagram and of course, in her new music video. That’s why some fans think the title of her next album is going to be “Heart.” How interesting!

In addition to the music video, Taylor’s been posting pictures of hearts all over Instagram, and some may argue that she’s overusing heart emojis. Sure, these things can all be leading us to the album title, but we’ll honest: There’s not much more to this theory than what we’ve just laid out for you.

‘Rainbow’

And last, but certainly not least, Swifties have been noticing an influx of rainbows all over her feed, as well as in the “ME!” music video. No surprise there, right? This one’s super straightforward, and it’s probably one of the most obvious choices. We mean, the briefcases, the suits, the rainbow dress she wore during the NFL draft as she teased the release of “ME!”

We know, we know — why would Tay go with something so obvious? Well, we’re not fully convinced that she will, but some fans think that since it’s her seventh album and the word “rainbow” has seven letters, that it’s a dead giveaway. NGL, it sounds more like it could be the title of one of the songs on the album, but as far as the album title goes, we’re going to need more evidence.
