Just a few weeks after Taylor Swift shocked the entire world by dropping a surprise album, called Folklore, she has released another brand new tune, and fans are convinced it’s all about her relationship with Joe Alwyn!

Yep, the bonus track on the album, called “The Lakes” — which was only available for fans who bought the physical copy of the LP — has finally come out, now that fans have started to receive their CDs in the mail, and boy, are there a lot of clues and hidden messages in the lyrics. So was it inspired by her boyfriend of three-years? Not to worry, people, we broke it all down for you.

In the tune, the blonde beauty sings about “Windermere,” which is a lake in England, where her beau lives.

“Take me to the lakes, where all the poets went to die / I don’t belong and, my beloved, neither do you / Those Windermere peaks look like a perfect place to cry / I’m setting off, but not without my muse,” the lyrics read. “I want auroras and sad prose / I want to watch wisteria grow right over my bare feet / ‘Cause I haven’t moved in years / And I want you right here / A red rose grew up out of ice frozen ground / With no one around to tweet it / While I bathe in cliffside pools / With my calamitous love and insurmountable grief.”

The “Lover” songstress also seemingly referenced her feud with Scooter Braun and Scott Borchetta in the song, when she sang, “What should be over burrowed under my skin / In heart-stopping waves of hurt / I’ve come too far to watch some namedropping sleaze / Tell me what are my words worth.”

For those who missed it, back in June 2019, Scooter — who manages Justin Bieber, Ariana GrandeDemi Lovato and more — bought the record label which the 30-year-old used to be signed to from her old manager, Scott. That means he acquired the rights to all of her old music, and Taylor was definitely not happy about it. At the time, she posted a lengthy note to her Tumblr page, claiming that she was completely blindsided by the news. She also accused the 38-year-old and his clients of “incessant, manipulative bullying,” and explained that she was “sad and grossed out” by the announcement.
