Is a video collaboration between David Dobrik and Shawn Mendes a possibility in the near future? Well, we know one thing: The YouTube star is so down to work with the “In My Blood” crooner at some point.

Yup! Speaking exclusively to J-14, the vlogger revealed that the “Lost in Japan” singer is definitely on his short list of people he’d like to feature in his videos. Why? Because like us, he’s a big fan of the 22-year-old as well.

“I would love to do something with [Shawn Mendes] because I really like him,” he revealed. “Oh yeah, Shawn’s great.” Yeah he is!

Let’s think about this logically: Is it actually possible that Shawn will collab with the Vlog Squad on a YouTube video? At this point, it’s too soon to tell. But at the same time, we don’t really see why not. We mean, the YouTube star just recently featured Kylie Jenner in one of his videos, so clearly he’s had success with getting very famous celebs to be in his vids. And according to David, she was a total pleasure to work with.

“I feel like an idiot for always saying this, but every time I work with a celebrity I’m always like, ‘Oh my God, I can’t believe they’re a real person too. Like, I don’t know why, but she’s great. … It was so easy to shoot with her. She was so easy to talk to, and yeah, we all had fun and that was really important.”

TBH, that sounds amazing, and we would love to see Shawn keep it super real in a video with David and his squad. If the YouTube star can’t get the pop star to agree to a collab, though, there are few other famous dudes he wants to work with as well.

“I’d love to do something with Ryan Reynolds or Chris Pratt, but I’m really open to doing stuff with really anybody. … I really like getting the opportunity to shoot with celebrities because I feel like I edit videos in a way where you can really tell that celebrities are just people too, and I think that’s so fun to see.” We couldn’t agree more!

Those Ryan and Chris collabs sound amazing, but something tells us a video with Shawn would be our favorite thing to hit the internet in, like, years. Make it happen, guys! We’re confident it would be absolutely epic.
