Disney Channel fans, rejoice! BUNK’D isn’t canceled, after all. It was previously reported that the show was going to end after three seasons, but now the network is all, just kidding. The show is, in fact, returning for Season 4 – and one of the fabulous leading ladies, Miranda May, couldn’t be more excited!

Despite the fact that the show is coming back for another batch of episodes, all of the original cast won’t necessarily be in it. So far, Skai Jackson is the only one who has confirmed she is officially out.

In March of 2018, Skai confirmed in an interview that she had her last day on Disney Channel.

“This is my last week on Disney, so Monday and Tuesday will be our last filming days for BUNK’Dand then the series is over. [It’s] very sad,” Skai told Clevver News. “I had such an amazing run. And I think for everyone, it’s just time to move on. We’ve played these characters for seven years now and we’re all growing up and I can’t be Zuri forever. But it is kind of bittersweet to let go of Zuri.”

While Peyton List and Cameron Boyce — who would reprise his Jessie role as Luke from time to time — have not yet flat-out addressed the Season 4 announcement, they have previously opened up that while Disney Channel will always be near and dear to their hearts, it’s something that they’re aging out of. They’re both moving on to other projects, and Peyton even has her own clothing line (which her former Jessie co-star Josie Totah recently wore when she reunited with Skai).

In August 2018, Peyton addressed rumors she was quitting BUNK’D in an Instagram comment, “not quitting. I’ve aged out of children’s show. I love all of those people so much from the show. they are and always will be my family. Everyone grows up and starts new projects. Grateful for everyone who has grown with me and will continue to.”

As for Cameron, he’ll be back on Disney for Descendants 3, which comes out in 2019. But as for filming anything new on the network, it looks like he’s waving goodbye to the House of Mouse.

“My tenure has been abnormally long for the average Disney kid — most only last three or four years. I’ve been around the Disney Channel for seven years, so this has been on the horizon for a while. And even now I can’t say for sure that I’m out after the uproar from Descendants fans insisting on a Descendants 3, so I could be in for one last ride after all,” Cameron said in an interview back in July.

Time will tell if Karan Brar will be back for the upcoming season, but he currently has two films in the works. However, it is definite that new cast members will be joining the bunch.

Disney confirmed in a statement, “The wildly successful sitcom BUNK’D has been ordered for a fourth season by Disney Channel. Production will begin in March 2019 on the series starring fan-favorite Miranda May as Lou Hockhauser, the cheerful Woodchuck counselor turned owner of Maine’s rustic Camp Kikiwaka summer camp. The series also stars Mallory James Mahoney (Disney Channel’s ‘Adventures in Babysitting’), Raphael Alejandro (ABC’s ‘Once Upon a Time’) and Will Buie Jr. (‘Gifted’) as the campers who return with Lou to create a summer of fun and friendship for a new group of young campers. Additional casting is to be announced.”

While we’d love to see the whole BUNK’D squad back together, we know the remaining cast will hold down the fort. Who knows – maybe some familiar faces will surprise us as guest stars! One could only hope.
