ICYMI, a lot has been going on in the world of Jake Paul lately — especially when it comes to his current relationship status with ex-girlfriend Erika Costell. Well, the 22-year-old just revealed an old text conversation with the model on social media, and it definitely seems like he wants her back.

Unfortunately, though, Erika just doesn’t seem to be into the idea of getting back together. How do we know? Because the YouTube star took to Instagram to share their intimate convo, and let’s just say it didn’t go as he originally planned.

After asking the “Dynamite” singer if she would be his valentine, she wrote, “Jake, stop… You’re not making this any easier.”

Then, when the Team 10 founder asked if they were officially over, she confirmed that rekindling their romance just isn’t going to happen.

“Yes you know this.. Every-time we try we just go in circles,” she wrote back. Ouch!

Clearly, things are very complicated between the two right now, which was pretty obvious considering they attended the Super Bowl together. Plus, the YouTube star pretty much confirmed that the former lovebirds are in an ~interesting~ place in a recent video.

“We just were hanging out,” he said. “Like, we were best friends before we even dated, so yeah, you know, just talking about our feelings and stuff. It’s complicated. Yeah, we might date again, maybe not, I don’t even know what I’m saying.” Uh, what?

We told you things are messy at the moment, but to clear things up for you a little bit, Jake obviously still has feelings. He even confirmed it himself when answering a fan question about whether or not he misses her.

“Of course. It was good seeing her at the Super Bowl. When you love someone, at least for me, there’s a part of you that will always love them, so yeah, I do,” he said.

TBH, there’s no way of knowing how this will end for the former flames, but what we do know is that Jake is revealing it all in a new song he’s releasing called “I’m Single.” In fact, the song is the whole reason he posted the text convo on Instagram in the first place.

Along with the screenshot of their heartbreaking conversation, the YouTuber wrote, “I made a song called ‘I’m Single’ because these convos are my life.. but i really don’t know if I should drop it… maybe if this gets 200,000 comments ill drop it March 1st…”

Honestly, it sounds to us like he’s just trying to promote his new single, but if that intimate conversation with Erika actually is real, it seems like he’s going to have to do a lot more to win her back. In the meantime, we’ll be keeping a close eye on these two for further updates.
