Makeup artist Jeffree Star did not hold back when it came to sharing his real feelings about the YouTube beauty community. On Thursday, March 5, the social media influencer seemingly implied that his fellow beauty vloggers were trash via Instagram Stories.
It all started when the 34-year-old was driving to get his nails fixed. Earlier in the day, Jeffree told his 15.9 million Instagram followers that he broke two of his fake nails while playing pinball the night before. As fans know, the beauty guru is a total pinball addict, and even has a room for all the machines he collected over the years in his new mansion. While he was driving to fix his iconic claws, Jeffree drove by a truck holding compacted garbage.
He seemingly threw some major shade and said, “Look it’s the beauty community. Oh my God, that’s where they’ve all been hiding.” Yikes!
This isn’t the first time Jeffree has publicly threw shade at his own internet community. A few days ago, he slammed fellow beauty brand Huda Beauty and their recently released pastel palettes. He accused them of allegedly copying ColourPop Cosmetics‘ previously released pastel collection.
After he saw the new beauty products announcement on social media, Jeffree called out Huda for seemingly copying another brand’s palettes.
“Hey [ColourPop Cosmetics] loving your new collection!!! Congrats!!!” he wrote in a since-deleted comment, which was screenshotted by fans and reposted on an Instagram account called Tea Spill.
That’s not all! The YouTuber also teamed up with Shane Dawson for a vlog released in February 2020 that included clips of them totally dragging the entire beauty community. The pair addressed Tati Westbook and James Charles‘ infamous feud, called out Gabriel Zamora and Nikita Dragun, made a joke about Jeffree’s longtime feud with his former BFF Kat Von D and even opened up about the Jaclyn Hill lipstick controversy. Talk about no chill!
