ICYMI, David Dobrik is now a married man. In a vlog he uploaded to his channel on May 18, the YouTube star proposed to Jason Nash‘s mom and flew her to Las Vegas to officially tie the knot. The best part? According to Clark County Clerk records, the marriage is totally legit, and the newlyweds even flew to Hawaii after to celebrate their honeymoon! Now, Jason has taken to YouTube to confront David about marrying his mom, and TBH, it’s absolutely hilarious.
Yup! The 22-year-old social media star was in New York City on May 18 and 19 for his pop-up shop, and he brought some friends along for the ride. Among them was his assistant, Natalie Mariduena, as well as Jason, and it’s safe to say the 45-year-old thinks the whole marriage thing is just as funny as we do.
While making an appearance at the pop-up, Jason addressed a crowd of what seemed like thousands, saying, “I want to thank you all for coming here and supporting David Dobrik. He is my best friend and also my dad. … I’m sorry to say that when I saw David this morning he grounded me for two weeks. But I did get my allowance — $16,000 a month. Thank you very much!” LOL.
The comedian also confronted the internet star about the marriage, asking, “How’s things with my mom? … And how long do you think this is going to last? People were saying it’s not going to last.”
Unfortunately, Jason’s new step-father didn’t really give him any answers, but from the looks of it, he’s actually pretty stoked to officially be a Dobrik. How can we tell? Well, for starters, he recently changed his name to “Jason Dobrik” on Twitter. We know — we can’t stop laughing either.
While it’s unclear at the moment what the future holds for Mr. and Mrs. Dobrik, we’re so happy Jason’s being so cool about it. After all, it’s the funniest bit we’ve seen on YouTube in a while, and we’re kinda sorta living for it.
