I don't know about you, but I love musicals. From Wicked to Hairspray to my all-time fave The Sound of Music, I can never seem to get enough of all the feel-good singing and dancing. And while episodes of Glee and Big Time Rush fill my musical needs weekly, nothing beats actually watching a show performed live on stage.
I'm fortunate enough to live in New York City and get to check out the latest Broadway shows ($25 ticket lotteries are the best!), and one that I'm most excited about is Nevermore: The Imaginary Life and Mysterious Death of Edgar Allen Poe. Just in time for Halloween, Nevermore is a spooky musical about the dark and twisted life of author Edgar Allen Poe. The costumes look just like something out of a Tim Burton movie and the music is so haunting, it gives me chills!
Nevermore runs from October 29 - November 7 at the New Victory Theater in NYC. You can learn more about the show and all of the theater's productions at newvictory.org.
Even if you live far away from the bright lights of the big city, check your local theater listings to find exciting new productions happening in your area. Plus, many hit Broadway musicals tour around the country and may come to a town near you!
