Congratulations Class of 2020! To celebrate all your seriously epic achievements this year, Miley Cyrus just served up an emotional performance of her throwback song “The Climb” from The Hannah Montana Movie, and it was everything.

For those who missed it, the former Disney Channel starlet — and a bunch of other famous faces — teamed up with Facebook and Instagram for a multi-hour commencement ceremony called #Graduation2020: Facebook and Instagram Celebrate the Class of 2020, which aired on the social media sites on Friday, May 15. Cohosts Mindy Kaling and B.J. Novak invited big name celebrities, just like Miley, to take the virtual stage and celebrate the Class of 2020’s academic achievements, despite being stuck at home because of the coronavirus pandemic. Before she sang the heartfelt song for the first time in two years, the 27-year-old offered high school and college seniors some words of wisdom.

“Hello to all the graduates out there. I’m truly honored to celebrate each and every one of you high school and college seniors and all that you’ve accomplished,” she said. “As I was thinking about you, the class of 2020 and how you inspire me, I knew I wanted to share this song with you. It feels full of a new meaning. Keep the faith, keep on moving, keep climbing, here’s ‘The Climb.’”

But that’s not all! After Miley took the virtual stage, her friend and former costar Selena Gomez also gave a heartfelt speech, which was filled with some pretty good advice.

“I want to say it’s ok not to know what to do with the rest of your life. It’s a journey to find your direction or your passions, so don’t get frustrated by the mistakes and setbacks as they happen to all of us,” the Wizards of Waverly Place alum said.
