"Speak now or forever hold your peace." If you thought that's where Taylor Swift got the title for her album Speak Now and the song of the same name, you're not entirely wrong.

Taylor says the song was inspired by her friend's story about her childhood sweetheart. The two went their separate ways, and Taylor's friend always thought the two would get back together eventually. "One day she comes in and tells me that he's getting married," Taylor explains. "He had met this girl who's this horrible, mean person who made him completely stop talking to all his friends, cut off his family, and had him completely isolated. And I randomly was like, 'Are you going to speak now?'"
